Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BunkerTrack (“BunkerTrack,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when a fire department (“you,” your “department”) and its members use the BunkerTrack inventory management service (the “Service”) at bunkertrack.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When a department is onboarded, we collect the department’s name and a contact name and email. When a user account is created, we collect that person’s name, email address, and a password (stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store or have access to the plaintext password).
Inventory data
Whatever your department enters into the Service — station and apparatus names, equipment records, expiration and inspection dates, inspection notes, and similar records — is stored so the Service can display it back to your department’s users.
Usage and technical data
We keep standard web server logs (IP address, timestamps, pages requested) generated automatically by our hosting provider, and a single session cookie used to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
2. How we use this information
- To operate the Service — authenticating users and displaying your department’s data back to your department’s own users.
- To communicate with department contacts about their account, billing, or the Service.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data to train any third-party AI models.
3. Data isolation between departments
Each department’s stations, apparatus, inventory, and users are logically isolated in our database. Users only ever see data belonging to their own department; departments never see each other’s data.
4. Where data is stored, and who else sees it
The Service is hosted on Vercel, and data is stored in a Neon (PostgreSQL) database. These providers process data on our behalf as infrastructure subprocessors and do not use it for their own purposes. We do not share your data with any other third party except where required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain account and inventory data for as long as your department’s account is active. If a department’s subscription is canceled, data is retained for a reasonable period in case of reactivation, after which it may be deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time using the contact details below.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you by contacting us at the email below. Department admins can also manage and remove user accounts directly within the Service.
7. Children’s privacy
The Service is intended for use by fire department personnel and is not directed at children under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify department contacts directly.
9. Contact us
